Changwei W. Wu received his PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan in 2009 andserved as a postdoctoral visiting fellow in National Institute on Drug Abuse(NIDA/NIH), Baltimore, USA in 2010. He became a junior faculty in National Central University in 2011. Now he joins the family of Taipei Medical University as an associate professor, investigating sleep neuroimage and brain consciousness. Professor Wu’s research orientation is to investigate the underlying functionality of spontaneous brain activities in cognition, neurology and psychiatry, and to determine associated biomarkers. His overall focus is targeting on sleep neurophysiological mechanisms using electroencephalography (EEG) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Professor Wu’s international collaborations encompass interdisiplinary research topics including consciousness, sleep neuroimage, psychiatric disorders, and cerebrovascular diseases.
